Brain Dental Care

So last semester I had a very large final paper about Alan Ginsberg. On the way to my professor’s office to hand in my paper, I stopped by the mail room to grab my mail. In my mail I found a magazine that I had never seen before and on the cover I saw something that caught my eye. “The Starving, Hysterical, Naked Mind of Allen Ginsberg” was one of the headlines. So I flipped to it to find that its layout was exactly the same as my paper. Life, poetry, activist, in that order. Weird. Turns out my mother had ordered it for me from my sister’s magazine drive for school.

                                                                

Anyways this magazine is called Mental Floss. I’m not sure how to place its theme, but it’s very much a hodge podge of different awesome articles. I’ve read things from “How to Get Into Heaven” to “The the Future of Sex”. “The Future of Sex” has an article about how the Y chromosome could die out. WHAT!?!There are standard article sections like “Right Brain” and “Left Brain” where you can find information for the right brain and left brain, respectively.

Mental Floss is the perfect balance of interesting, knowledge giving, and pertinent to today. I suggest people browse the website or pick up an issue. Great read for all.
