a whale, a dolphin, and some philosophy

I met a man that used to go to my college in the 70’s and we had this crazy long conversation about religion, and life, and society, and books and everything someone from the 70’s and from my school would want to talk about. Amongst the craziness he told me a story. I’d like to share it.

“So a dolphin is swimming around in the ocean and a whale comes up to it and says,

‘Hey, the water sure is fine isn’t it?’

to which the dolphin replied

‘What’s water?’”
